Your Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will demonstrate initiative and will excel under minimal supervision. You will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and skilled in delivering on your commitments. You will work with a team of engineers and other technologists/technicians performing general, Geotechnical and Materials testing and inspection responsibilities. In brief, duties include but are not limited to:

• Collection of samples, obtain field data

• Conduct a full range of field material testing

• On-site material inspection

• Construction Quality control/Quality assurance

• Observe contractor activity

• Other general field related duties

• Reporting: You will be required to regularly complete detailed field reports and submit them to the Project Manager.

• Manage all day-to-day activity with your team, as employees will report directly to you.

• Be the main point of contact between client/Contractor and Management

• Responsible for completing technical reports and issuing them to our clients daily.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

We are looking for an energetic team player who enjoy working with a team of engineering staff in providing superior service to our valued clients. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Effective communications skills (computer, written, oral)

• Consulting or related experience

• Direct experience in a similar role would be considered an asset

• Ability to work with minimum supervision

• Demonstrate initiative and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Work on construction sites

• Valid Driver’s License (Class 5) and access to their own personal vehicle

• Valid insurance policy to transport nuclear compaction testing equipment

• The ability to carry out moderate lifting and to traverse uneven ground will be required.

• The ability to lead a team of 5 employees.

Education and Experience

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5+ years in Laboratory and Field Testing.
